VielfaltMenü is proud to contribute to a balanced diet every day. Our claim is: so much more than good food. Because in addition to providing balanced meals for daycare centres and schools, we are actively involved in nutrition education for children and young people.

With various nutrition projects, playful activities, raised beds and visits to suppliers or farmers, we pass on our knowledge and show, where food comes from and what effects nutrition has on the environment and our own health.

Specials

We regularly offer the children a variety of interesting specials. They are informative, fun and bring variety to the schools and day care centres. These can be seasonal topics, such as autumn vegetables, campaigns after the holidays or campaign days on the topic of plant-based nutrition.

Cooking event cook@school

In our cooking workshop, the classroom becomes the kitchen. Together with a professional chef, the children prepare delicious recipes for the whole class and learn table rules and nutrition basics in a playful way with accompanying work materials. The project has already won a gold award.

Visits to farmers

Peas don't grow in a jar and cows aren't purple. Children can see that with their own eyes. Because we make excursions possible, for example to farms. There, the children learn a lot about how food is grown and processed.

Healthy is colorful

The colorful nutrition game, based on the nutrition circle of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ernährung (DGE), teaches day-care children about the variety, origin and benefits of food. Colored wooden cubes for the children are combined with small puzzles, games, songs, recipes, craft ideas and suggestions for excursions, which we make available to the educators.

Raised beds

Together we plant vegetables, herbs and fruit in beds and impart knowledge and create sensitivity to the seasonality of food. Of course, the vegetables, fruit and herbs can also be harvested and eaten after a while.
