The friendly plate is the program

Since July 2021, the community caterer with around 1,100 employees at over 30 locations has been operating under the name VielfaltMenü GmbH. The brand name was created in an ideas competition in which employees were invited to submit name suggestions and demonstrates the high level of identification among the workforce.

"The name VielfaltMenü will not change, the name simply suits us.", says Heiko Höfer, Managing Director of the company. "However, we have evolved over the last two years. We have grown into a decentralized company that operates flexibly on site at the customer's premises and thinks and acts innovatively. Our hospitality and our daily service orientation are now also reflected in our new design. The natural color, the modern lettering and the friendly plate - that's VielfaltMenü."

As part of its positioning, value development and associated design adaptation, the catering company has set itself ambitious goals in order to actively shape the communal catering industry. "Our entire billing processes are digitalized and enable our customers to select menus easily and flexibly - via the web or app. But that's not enough for us - we want to inspire our guests anew every day. That's why we offer varied menus with both traditional and newly interpreted dishes and at least one vegetarian menu every day. We don't talk for long. We do it.", emphasizes Heiko Höfer.

This statement also explains the choice of the new slogan "We make it. Possible.", which VielfaltMenü is now using in its communications. As a self-proclaimed enabler and implementer of a wide variety of projects, VielfaltMenü also sees itself as having a responsibility for education. "We do much more than just make good food. We support children on their way to a healthy future - with knowledge transfer, inspiration and taste. To this end, we are also involved in associations and work closely with competent partners.", says Ann-Kathrin Piwellek, Head of Marketing & Communication. The company has already reached over 60,000 children as part of the cook@school cooking workshop.

Last year, VielfaltMenü concluded a new collective agreement with the Food, Beverages and Catering Union (NGG). This makes VielfaltMenü GmbH the only company in Germany that specializes primarily in the education sector with collective bargaining coverage in the area of school and daycare catering.

The company, which operates throughout Germany, mainly supplies educational institutions and also developed a modular concept for company catering last year. The appealing "AusZeit" restaurant concept impresses with its varied menus and inspiring dishes. With various catering stations, such as Time for Travel and Time for Healthy Food, as well as a barista bar, VielfaltMenü also underlines its expertise in catering for employees.
