VielfaltMenü wins the coveted industry prize for community catering with the cook@school nutrition project

At the International Management Forum (IMF) in Hanau this week, various representatives of the contract catering industry came together. At the caterer industry meeting, the Roadmap 2025 was discussed as well as the challenges and opportunities of the future. A special highlight of the event is traditionally the presentation of the Marketing Award by gvpraxis and Chefs Culinar, which honors companies and services that are particularly exemplary for innovative strength and guest orientation in community catering.

The Gold Marketing Award 2023 went to cook@school, a VielfaltMenü project for nutrition education for children and young people. With its decision, the jury expressly recognized the essential role of early education and knowledge transfer on the subject of nutrition for the future and health of children and young people. Community catering in kindergartens and schools makes an indispensable contribution to this. In the laudation, particular emphasis was also placed on the socially beneficial element: at the cook@school cooking event, children not only cook together, but also eat together at a table they have set themselves and a cookbook to take home with them is part of the overall concept, which VielfaltMenü, together with the nutrition organization ProVeg, has also aligned with current nutritional and environmental requirements.

VielfaltMenü is proud to contribute to a balanced diet every day and consistently describes this as “So much more than good food”. With various nutrition projects, playful activities, raised beds and visits to producers, the caterer also shows children where their food comes from and what impact nutrition has on the environment and their own health.

We do that. Possible.
